I left in search of something
turned out to be nothing
I came back, 8 months later
to reclaim my post as myself
it didn't work

the cities were full of possibilities
endless in nature and science
modern in class and wealth
possibilities have become shackles
opportunities have become inhibitors
it's not working

I left it all for this
Is this really worth all the effort?
the further ahead I get
the farther away I become
the further away I go
the closer it is that I get
but to what?

I wish I could add a more thoughtful interpretation, but I'm not really thinking right due to the fact that I haven't showered in f'ng three days and counting.

well megs, you know you can shower over here whenever, and as for hog anus... that's a birthday bill that I can handle.
And yes, that was one of the 3 good birthdays. The other was before we met - I want to say it was either 19 or 20... When you get to be my age, they all just kind of blend together. No, it was 20, cause I had just gotten my job offer FROM Wallace, and I was excited about it.
Hey - why the fuck am I getting all poetic all of a sudden? Perhaps I'll become famous by leading a band with a chick and an asian, only to destroy my fame by making weird music and then write a book of poetry dedicated to god in my mid-30's... what do you think?
